So earlier I was thinking, Hyrule is only a single country. It has extreme importance to the gods that created the world and is connected to the Sacred Realm of the Triforce. But has had an extremely difficult history. But I wondered just what kind of relationship Hyrule has with the other countries that surround it and what do the various peoples of those countries think of it and it's people?

When you think about it, Hyrule has been invaded and controlled by an evil overlord or two more than a few times in it's past. When Ganondorf has taken it over, defeating Hyrule's army with his own army of monsters and moblins, or Zant's takeover from the Twilight realm. To Vaati, the Bulblin tribes rampaging over the countryside, or even it's history with the Dark Interlopers. The country has had more than it's share of invasion from monstrous forces and dark overlords.

We see in the Oracle games that the two closest countries Holodrum and Labrynna have their share of troubles from monster invasions as well. But that could be viewed as Hyrule's problems spilling over into their borders as the root of the problem was again Ganondorf and Twinrova. But during the time of Wind Waker would those two countries have been flooded as well? What would the people of those countries think of the Hylians if their own internal problems, even if they do include the all powerful triforce, causes the flooding of their own nations by the gods of Hyrule?

So in your opinion, what do the people living in any countries that border Hyrule think or the Hylians and their nation? Would they respect or live in awe of the people who seem to be a chosen of the Golden Goddesses, or would the be jealous of that thought. Or would they live in fear of the constant wars and conflicts that come up in Hyrule due to it's close proximity to the Triforce and the Sacred Realm? Or anger of all the problems that have come out of Hyrule and into their own nations as a result?
