Ocarina of Time Spirit Temple

Just got to the Spirit Temple for the first time, and realized something. above the door to the temple, there is a triforce engraved in the stone. I thought it was strange because the Gerudo thieves made it seem like the Spirit temple was a Gerudo establishment, what with being Nabooru's HQ and all. Isn't the Triforce mainly a Hylian symbol? And aren't Hylians and Gerudos two different races? I'm just confused; sorry if it's a dumb question...

The Spirit Temple is obviously a very old temple. Back in the days (before the Hyrulian Civil War) the Triforce belonged to nobody. So I think that the Triforce wasn't a symbol for any specific race when the temple was built. The Triforce was just a sacred relic, left behind by the three golden goddesses.
