Ocarina of Time Purple Leevers?

I was out in the Desert Colossus killing levers to fill up my magic meter and then after a while the enemy battle music started up. Now, although leevers are enemys the music DOESNT pay whilst fighting them. Then a large purple Leever appeared and it took 10 hits to kill it and it gave me 20 rupees. Has anyone else fought this Leever? How does it appear?:huh:

I would guess it is the same thing as those giant Stalkid in Hyrule Field whenever you kill a bunch of them. The purple leever is no different.

If you kill so many Leevers, a large one will appear. This also works for Stalchildren in Hyrule Field as young link. Guays, (The bird enemies), do this as well. Im not sure if youre required to do this anywhere specific, like the other two enemies, but im sure it works in Lon Lon Ranch at night.
