All you have to do is get the lens of Truth from the well before you start the shadow temple right, like I dont have to unlock the rest of the doors and finish the mini-well dungeon do I?

Yes, there are some skulltula's you can get and some rupees but the Lens of Truth is the main thing. You don't have to unlock all doors because besides the Lens there is not really anything important left

All you have to do is drain the water and fight Dead Hand.
All the other rooms just contain Gold Skulltulas or Rupees.
And.... REDEADS!!!

I like to complete it just because I can, but yeah, all you need is the Lens of Truth... although it actually is technically possible to complete the Shadow Temple without it (and I've done it, by the way).
