Lemmy — a.k.a. Ian Fraser Kilmister of the band Motörhead — has died at the age of 70 according to reports. Little else is known about the legendary rocker’s death at this time, but SPIN has reached out to Motörhead’s reps for confirmation and comment. The news was first reported by radio personality Eddie Trunk on Twitter:

SPIN had long admired Lemmy, speaking to the singer-songwriter and all-around badass several times over the past several years. Dave Navarro has just offered his condolences. We’ll update as we learn more.

I liked Moterhead. RIP Lemmy, he'll live on through the music. Lemmy was the definition of what a real Rock Star is. Not neccessarily someone who parties and does drugs like people think, it's the notion he adopted that he wasn't going to take **** from anyone. He did whatever he wanted, that is what a real rocker is.
