I actually started to want to learn it way before I ever became an animanga fan. I was really into martial arts as a kid and studied Japanese history as a result. Sparked the interest, I guess.

Just so happened that I ended up enjoying Japanese media and culture in other ways as I got older.

I'm an American first and foremost, but if I had to choose another country, I'd probably go for Italy or one of them European countries. Idk why exactly, maybe because there's a lot of history and stuff and I enjoy that.
I read a thing once that said in America 200 years is a long time, and in England 200 miles is a long way. There was a lot of buildup to it, it was pretty neat to read. Can't remember where I read it so don't ask.
