So it looks like I'm being temporarily promoted to Visual Merchandiser, because our regular one is on leave. Which is cool but also kind of yikes because the assistant VM, who is training me, got months of training from him and is about to get 3 weeks of training, some even out of state, for the same job at another target. Meanwhile I'll get roughly 50 hours of training before taking his job. But there's a raise involved for the time that I'm covering him so can't complain
oh btw update on this, turns out the main vm quit permanently, so the slot is open. theyre letting me interview for it on thursday, but they let me know theres people with actual job experience also applying and one even trying to transfer from the same job at a different target, so i probably wont be the one they choose but still, glad for the chance.

Will this shift your hours back to semi-normal (as in not 1-5 AM?)

Well if I get it Ill keep at the 6-230/overnights for the most part, if i dont then its back to sporadic daytime shifts, which i hate. going in at 10 means you cant do anything before or after work and it sucks balls, the raise i have rn is nice but the schedule itself is almost even more valuable. also the stuff i'm doing is 1000% more enjoyable than just taking shoes out of boxes all day. basically no one else seems to be willing to do that so theres like 5 pallets worth of shoes in the back rn, i wonder if my chances could be hindered by them not wanting to get a new show person lol.

What time are you getting off when you go in at 10? I feel that tho, when I was working at Sonic I HATED going in at 5 because I was there until midnight, and I kinda enjoyed that part of it, being out so late and whatnot, but at the same time it meant that at around 3 my brain shut down and I didn't want to start on anything because I could see work approaching.

10am to 630pm was my reg shift. means leaving the house at 930ish, home at 7, brain depleted. closing shifts are actually great for me, i wouldnt want it every day but sleeping in, chilling at home all day/or going out somewhere, hitting work around 3-5ish depending, then leaving at 11 and joyriding through some backroads for an hour or so is the life. it doesnt even feel like a work day when i have a closing shift.

fax, i'll start realizing the end is nigh and cant get nothin started.
is... is this a roadkill pikachu...
yes do you like it?
