If there's one thing I don't like about the trailer it's how the penguins look, I know they're based off the 64 ones but they don't quite look like them anymore after being modernized so they feel kind of out of place
Also was there a penguin kingdom in a game or are they just making one inspired by the mama penguin and her kid? Though I guess they were in other games too, like the ice levels of smb3 iirc

For me it's how round the heads are, penguins don't have heads separate from they necks, they're like bowling pins, and the ones in the 64 were like that too so seeing them round is odd. They also just, don't fit the mario style? Idk, I felt like that was one major point where the illumination style was really showing
