Linora is escorted into Castle Town and is then taken to the army base in the city. Once there she is brought to the field marshal's quarters.
"I hear you were caught shooting arrows at the Hylian army," the field marshal says with his booming voice.
"Rumor spreads quickly these days," Linora replies shortly.
The field marshal looks puzzled. "I recognize your face..." he starts. "Oh that's it! You're that deserter,Leonora. Or was it Lenora? No that's not it either. Your name is Linora! Oh I remember you now. It's been, what? Six years since you became a deserter?"
"Seven," Linora corrects him, still keeping it short.
"Ah yes. Seven years is along time. But even still I remember you. You were one of our best soldiers, Linora. Now, I'm actually supposed to hand you over to the court, which in turn will most likely result in either lifetime imprisonment for you, or even death penalty for your betrayal. But just this once I will give you a second chance to serve your people. Return to the army and continue your exceptional work with us."
Linora certainly wasn't ready to die, and spending the rest of her life in prison wasn't so appealing either. But still, joining the army again would go against everything she's done for the past seven years. She knew it was the answer that the field marshal was expecting, but she still had to go with it. For now anyway. "I accept your most generous offer, field marshal," she says sounding surprisingly and convincingly loyal.
