Here's a fun little time machine I found a while back and have been wanting to share with you guys. Back in the wild west days of Zelda, there was less prejudice about the look and feel of the game because...well, there was only one game. No baggage, no lore, just fantasy fun. I wonder how I would have drawn these beasties before I had seen them rendered in three dimensions.

I find it interesting all of the different design styles they use. The lynel and the Armos have definate elements of fantasy to them. The tektites and octorocks are a little more sci-fi, while moblins and keese look like something they pulled straight from Japanese folklore. There's so many different influences, and then one they're actually in the game they all just look kinda adorable lol.
