How Do I Get Them?

I was playing my old pokémon gold the other day and I noticed that I didn't have a murkrow or a houndour. When I looked up their location in the pokédex it says that the only place you can catch them is near or in the underground path (the one going horizontally) under Saffron city.

The door is locked to that path, so I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get those I would like to know.

Oh, also: Where can you find Misdreavus in Pokémon gold/ silver?

It is located on Route 7 (the route by the Celadon entrance to the Underground Path), and it can only be caught at night, but it appears in both games. You don't have to be int he Underground path, just in that little grassy area.

Misdreavus can be found in Mt. Silver in both games, again only at night.
