Well, I mean, you might be able to deduce from what the role is what another role might be. For example, the lynch flipping Miller would imply that a Cop is in the game.

You have to know your alignment to play this game

Even when I know what my alignment is, I don't necessarily know my alignment. I've had games where the easiest way to get a Town victory was to team up with the scum for at least one lynch.
