Fall of Man is a sci-fi story detailing, well, the fall of humanity. A sign up shall become available soon, and chapters shall be posted on a regular basis. FOR REAL THIS TIME. Apologies for the first chapter. I'm terrible at openings.. I'll elaborate on things later as the story unfolds. So, enjoy!~
WARNING: Contains death and violence. Strictly PG 13
"Y' know. Life has been pretty good these last few years. Everything seemed to be working out for the better. The economic depression had been eliminated, science had made major medical breakthroughs, curing such things as brain tumors, AIDs and other diseases, and the government had finally agreed to clean up the environment. We saved species from extinction, saved people from starvation, and even progressed our reach into the unknown void of space. But, recently, things have changed. And as you may know- not all change is good..."
Chapter 1
"It was the winter of '18. 2018 that is. And for months, I and the rest of the team had been keeping an eye on a specific object heading towards the earth. The object was huge, and if it ever hit, it would have devastating consequences. Such that life as we know it would cease to exist. But about a month or two ago, the object stopped. Froze in place and sat stationary.
The only thing was, many smaller objects shot out of it. Though, they were too small to be a threat, or so we thought. We monitored these objects until the day they finally entered our atmosphere. There wasn't much reason after this. The day?- November 1st".
---------------------------------
The city of New York had always been popular. The city was famous for the lights, the sounds, the people, even the congestion. The skyline of New York was so often clouded by the lights and smog, it would be very unlikely to be able to catch a glimpse of a speeding object, but tonight was different. For some reason, the sky was clearer than usual, giving a perfect view of the stars, and the first few of the many objects heading for earth. The bright blue tails of the objects tore through the night sky at a rapid pace, and came closer and closer, breaking through the atmosphere and oddly resisting the immense heat. The trio that had broken through here twisted and turned in a spiral like motion. The team at NASA became more and more panicked. It was too late for an evacuation or a warning. The objects smashed through a passenger plane, forcing it to erupt in flames and spiral downwards into a populated street, it too engulfed by the inferno.
The outermost object split from the rest and speed ahead. It was clear now that these were no mere meteorites, but ships. The other two ships kept close. The one that had sped ahead seemed to be a scout, and shot directly through a building, creating a gap for the other two. The trail of destruction had a purpose, though the plane was an accident. The ships quickly found a place to land, or rather to make a dramatic entrance, though they had already gained the people's attention with the explosions and with their striking blue tails.
The ships began to slow, and formed into a triangular formation before nosediving straight into the center of a busy street, causing the people to run in terror as they crashed one by one, causing no fatalities, only shock and minor injuries. The first two ships to dive caused a massive cloud of dust to scatter into the air, almost shrouding the third, which was much different than the others. This one was more fortified, and was lined with strange symbols. This ship applied a violent boost before driving itself in between the other two, embedding itself deep in the ground.
When the dust had settled and the public had let their curiosity get the better of them, they entered the unsecured street and approached the trio of objects, unaware of what lay within, and oblivious to their real purpose.

Fall of Man
"Hello. My name is Mike Kalsinsto. I am, or rather, used to be, the leader of the NASA space program. Something that you may or may not have heard of. I'm here to tell you the story of humanity. The great and powerful race that fell, not because of the invaders that challenged us,but because of our own ignorance and greed and cowardness in the face of danger"."Y' know.
