I was reading a question that one of our members (who I wont name just to keep up with the craze of not naming members) who's username cant be accurately spoken by humans, was asking in the things on your mind thread.

It has inspired me to make this thread.

Do forum users here act they way they do here in real life or do they act the way they do here because people in real life would not accept them if they acted the same in real life as in here?

What do you think about this, and do you act differently here to real life? How so?

I am infinitely i tend to be stupider here than in real life the only thing that's transcribed right is my temper.

I act the way I do just because i bottle up my rage and my weird

I act here like I act around people I trust irl, even though I don't necessarily trust everyone here. So I don't think I act that differently here, just don't need that same amount of trust because of anonymity, even though everybody here knows my first name.

I am no different at all. I'm exactly the same in either. What you see here is exactly what you'd get if we physically met.

While I was definitely acting different from rl back when I joined the site in 2010 (I was having a mild identity crisis at the time), over the years I've become more comfortable with myself. You'll find that the Deku you read now is pretty much the same Deku you'd meet on thr street

I think I act basically the same irl as I do online, although I'm definitely more outgoing online in most cases. I talk about stuff online that I probably wouldn't talk about with people irl, but the way I talk and my personality and stuff is basically the same.

Sorry I couldn't help but read that an advertisement for yourself if you know what I mean ;) Haha

Anyway I'm the same amazing cool sexy super ultimate guy In both real life and the forums. People are drawn to me due to this and I love establishing bonds and meeting new people. :)

I think my personality is the same, but I'm a whole lot more open and less shy here then in real life. I'm more timid, but still make the same jokes, have the same conversation topics, like the same things, etc, just with less people, and less openly. I mean, I'm not incredibly socially awkward, although I used to be, as I've gotten better at talking with people and strangers, but I'm not going to be very conversational, unless I'm around close friends or my immediate family.

Kind of. I'm a lot less shy and socially awkward here, as well as a bit more assertive. I am also only half as nonsensical irl as I am here. Also I'm a lot less meme obsessed. I mean, I enjoy them but don't mention a meme every sentence. I assume there are more differences but I am sleep deprived right now and can't think of any more.

Yes I am exactly the same on here as I'm in reality. The only difference is typing instead of speaking. I feel like a Zelda game now. press A and I speak type.

We should have it so posts have an animated scroll reveal like Zelda too, only there's no way of instantly revealing all the text with a push of the button. >)
