Granted. But someone will find out via some sort of rushed and uninspired plot device that you read their mind and tell everyone else that you can read their deepest and most embarrassing thoughts. They will hunt for you like they did with witches back in the old days and burn you. They will then eat you in expectation of getting your powers, but will instead be cursed to not ever be able to use their right arm again. They will have lots of children who will progressively lose their right arm (just like some evolutionary theories are said to do with unused organs), and by turn, increase the worldwide lefty population. Funny things these powers tend to cause huh?
