Long ago, back when the Gods walked among men, there was a town on the outskirts of the world. In it were four girls. One girl, who carried a sword in her hand and wore a red hood, said she wanted to explore the world. She left the small town and set out on a long journey, a journey full of dangers and adventures. She met a man who fell in love with her and traveled with her for a time, but was rejected and with her sword she murdered him. The girl eventually came to a strange wood, and went in, never to return to the world again...

The second girl was gifted musically, she carried a harp that was a gift from the Goddess of Time. She wore a blue hood. This girl also went out on a journey, to spread beautiful music all across the world. But during a storm, one of her ears was struck by a magical beam, and she became unable to play music that sounded appealing to anyone but herself. One day while practicing near a curious forest, she was hit in the head by something, and dragged into the forest...

The third girl was beautiful, many men fell in love with her at first sight. She wore incredible green robes, made of the softest silk. A group from all over wanted to make her the queen of the country, but many did not allow this. So she and her followers left to make a kingdom of there own. Seeing that she could manipulate these people to do whatever she wanted, she freely lied to them, and often went to other means to seduce them into keeping quiet. But one day a man came to her in front of her followers and presented her a lens that revealed the truth. She did not know this, and saw it as a beautiful mirror. She looked into it, and her eyes turned a vile red. Her skin became pale, her hair became untidy. Her robes became tattered and torn. Now she was exposed for what she truly was on the inside, the people became unkind toward her, and she fled. The girl managed to reach a town, and rested there. She was out gathering berries in an odd forest one day, and a purple eye lead her into the forest, again, this girl would never come out...

The fourth girl loved masks and costumes of all sorts.Often she would wear a purple hood. She was gifted as an actress, and even the Gods came to her preformances. She heard of a group of travelers who needed an actress to add to their troup. The girl knew they were poor, and had a good heart and wanted to help them. She set out to go find them, and to join them and bring them to fame. But the world was large and frightening. She couldn't sleep without having nightmares about monsters. The girl found an old map, it lead to some sort of mask that supposedly made all creatures run away from the wearer. The mask was based off of a great beast, the Keaton. She went off to find it and ended up lost in the woods. She did find the mask, but was murdered by the first girl who thought that it was the man who loved her, trying to sneak up on her...

When all four were in the forest, dead or alive, the inhabitants of the forest lead them to a big castle. They said the girls would be worshiped as Goddesses here. But once they entered, they became spirits, as only the forest dwellers could enter this temple. Here theywould dwell as sisters of the Forest's Flame for all eternity...
