Oki doke. So, I recently downloaded GIMP and was fiddling around and decided I wanted to make something in the twenty or so minutes I had to mess around. I am very very new to photo editing software, well, not necessarily new, but the interface of GIMP and the various technicalities that most Graphic Editors likely know, are very foreign to me.

In other words... prepare to be very unimpressed...




Voila! I created a picture with a black backround and my name set on fire (like it should be). .... yeah not fantastic but hey, I didn't call this thread level noob for nothing.

Actually that's pretty cool. You should try making random stuff, fiddling with all there is to play with in GIMP. It helps you to familiarize yourself with the stuff there for one thing, and also it helps you to get super creative and use all the tools at your disposal. Looking forward to see more cool stuff from you!
