  • Ah, sounds like you play a lot of RPGs in general then. Alas, I never can really get into RPGs unless they're either very action oriented, or very strategy oriented... Never got to play Super Mario RPG, but I did play the second Paper Mario, and I loved that, mainly because it was so unique for me. :)

Your son and daughter? Like the children of the main character, or your actual real life kids? How old are you? :O Sounds like a bad-*** party though. I really like the sound of those last two characters by the way. They sound awesome and quirky. :xd:
Ah, I see. Yeah, the CV2 password are horrendously long. I've been trying to find my NES so I can play it and finally beat it, but I can't find it at all... :hmm:

Agreed. Super Metroid is still one of the greatest games of all time for me. :D
Coolio. That is a lot. I have Metroid 2: The Return of Samus, Super Metroid (best game in the series, IMO, and first video game I ever played), Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, and Metroid Prime 3 (which I haven't played quite yet). Would love to get Fusion and Zero Mission, but no dice so far. As for Castlevania, I have the second one on the NES (not on VC), Legacy of Darkness on the N64, and Circle of the Moon on the GBA. I really need more Castlevania games.

I know at least in Castlevania 2 there was an option somewhere to stop playing and get a password for all your progress, so you should be able to continue your game, maybe even in the first one. Have you tried that?
Hell, I even hang out around a monster website called Bogleech, and like everyone on the forums there loves Heartless. :xd:

Yeah, you like them too? Seems like there aren't a lot of players of either series on here. They're very hard games overall, though. I've been playing both Metroid Prime 2 on Hard Mode, got beaten by the first major boss Amorbis. And in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon I've been playing through the extra game modes, currently on Shooter Mode which is hard.

Um... hard to say. I actually think that overall I like both games about equally. There's things I loved about the first game that they completely dropped in the second game, but in the second game they added and refined a lot of things that I love. So fifty-fifty.
Indeed. I think it would be a wise move on the part of SquareEnix to do something like this, even if it were only in the form of a spinoff. Everyone loves Heartless, so being able to play as them would really appeal to fans of the series, no doubt.

Neat. I haven't had much time for Kingdom Hearts lately. I'm busing playing Castlevania and Metroid mainly. Last thing I did in the KH series is play through most of the original on Hard Mode. I never beat it though. I think I took a break shortly before The End of the World, and I never really picked it up again. :hmm:
Maybe, that could be cool. I'd just like it if you could somehow "catch" or copy Heartless and turn into them any time, sort of like the Drive Gauge stuff, but turning into enemies instead.

Maybe for a KH spinoff or something. Seems unlikely for one of the main games even though it would be wicked cool. :(
That is correct, that is how Roxas was created. ;) Didn't know that, eh?

I loved that whole element of the story, actually. Especially the segment where you turned into a Heartless. I wish they'd do more with it, like have the ability to actually transform into full Heartless and fight as them or something. I know there was Anti-Sora in Kingdom Hearts II, but I'm talking turning into the actual enemies. :)
You might have heard the names reading about the game, since they've been floating around for a while. Most of them aren't terribly uncommon fictional names either. I noticed a theme with them: Terra (earth), Aqua (water), and Ventus (gas?). Just a thought. :P

Looks interesting. I might have to check it out sometime. I'm a little busy at the moment though... Been pretty busy overall since I got promoted to mod and staff.
You play as three new characters, a girl named Aqua, a dude named Terra, and a Roxas-lookalike named Ventus. You pick one at the beginning, and experience the story in chunks that the character you picked experiences. Aqua is a Keyblade Master. Terra was denied the position because of his "dark tendencies" that he learned from Master Xehanort, and Ventus is too young. ;)

Yeah, it's just Xemnas in some kind of crazy form. All the Heartless and Nobodies have shown to be able to shapeshift, so I guess that was just another form he had... :hmm:
Yeah, that would make sense. And I know both Sora and Riku appear in the game, at least briefly, but they're not a major part of the main story. Unless the plot unfolds way differently than I'm expecting, that is.

Oh, him. That guy in the first game was Ansem, so not really. Well, Xehanort's Heartless. Whatever you want to call him. :xd: It was the same guy you fought at the end of Kingdom Hearts 1.
No, it predates the first game by ten years roughly. Organization XIII doesn't exist yet.

Interestingly, however, is that many things in the series happened ten years ago: Kairi coming to Destiny Islands. Xehanort coming to Hollow Bastion (if I recall). The meteor shower (which was the breaking down of the barrier between worlds and the appearance of the Gummis). Etc..

    This should be interesting. :)
