Kiki: Difference between revisions

In ''A Link to the Past'', [[Link]] will encounter Kiki while journeying through the [[Dark Palace Grounds]] in search of the [[Dark Palace]]. Link will find Kiki within the garden and Kiki will begin to follow Link. Kiki loves [[Rupee]]s and initially asks Link if he can spare 10 rupees.<ref name="Quote 1"/> If Link declines to give Kiki the rupees, Kiki will say he has no reason to talk to Link anyway and subsequently stop following him and jump back into the garden.{{Ref|ALttP|325|Kiki}} If Link agrees to give Kiki rupees, the monkey will continue to follow him.{{Ref|ALttP|324|Kiki}}

While following Link, if Link takes any damage at all, Kiki will immediately run off back to the garden. If Link successfully makes it to the entrance of the Dark Palace, Kiki will offer to open the entrance to the Dark Palace in exchange for 100 Rupees.{{Ref|ALttP|320|Kiki}} If Link declines, Kiki will once again run off, challenging Link to open it himself.{{Ref|ALttP|321|Kiki}} However, if Link accepts, Kiki will jump on top of the statues and open the entrance to the first dungeon within the [[Dark World]].

In ''Link's Awakening'', Kiki is part of the long [[Trading Sequence]] featured in the game.{{Ref|LA|340|Kiki}} Link can give Kiki [[Bananas]], and in return Kiki will call his monkey friends and build a bridge that allows Link to reach [[Kanalet Castle]].{{Ref|LA|341|Kiki}} After the bridge is complete, Kiki and his friends will leave,{{Ref|LA|342|Kiki}} but not before leaving a [[Stick]] on the bridge.{{Ref|LA|343|In-game description}}

* In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening|Link's Awakening]]'', when [[BowWow]] is following [[Link]] around, he can take him to [[Kiki]] and they will start to fight.{{Ref|LA|339|Kiki}} The fight always ends in Kiki running away.
