Selmie's Spot can still be found in a cabin, just northwest of the Hebra Peak.
The Duchess Who Disappeared
The Duchess Who Disappeared
After clearing the Wind Temple, Link can travel to Selmie's Spot to find that Selmie is mising. After speaking with Russ, Link will find that Selmie was looking to build out a new course for Selmie's Shield-Surfing, but she has yet to come back. This will begin The Duchess Who Disappeared quest. Down the slope to the west, Link will find Fin who has put out a camp fire to hopefully draw Selmie to him, but he wonders if maybe Selmie is in a place where she can't see it.
This gives a hint that she is in the nearby East Biron Snowshelf Cave. After breaking some boulders to get into the cave, Selmie can be found sitting beside a campfire. She thought she'd never see anyone in the cave, and is saddend that her students are worried about her.Tears of the KingdomTears of the Kingdom Selmie has gone shield-surfing and surfed right into the cave. After falling down the slope, she couldn't climb her way out. She also heard rocks crumbling in on the the cave. She hopes that with Link, they can find another path out.
At the west end of the cave, there is more Red Sediment that Link can break. After destroying the sediment, Link can return to speak with Selmie. She can feel the wind coming from the cave and thanks Link for finding a way out. She encourages Link to come and stop by her lodge at Selmie's Spot, just northwest of Hebra Peak.
After returning to Selmie's Spot, she will thank Link for coming back all this way. Her two students, Fin and Russ will also be very grateful that Link helped save Selmie.Tears of the Kingdom As a sign of thanks, Selmie will reward Link with a Strong Zonaite Shield. If Link's shield pouch is full, Selmie will give Link a chance to make some space before giving it to him.
Selmie will then agree to make Link one of her students. While she is busy with Fin and Russ, she can make an exception for Link. Fin and Russ are both delighted to have Link in the group.Tears of the Kingdom This will complete the quest.

*The shields displayed inside her cabin are the only shields in the game Link can't appropriate. If Link tries to remove them from the wall with Magnesis, Selmie will immediately raise her voice in protest. However, Link can take pictures of those for the Hyrule Compendium in order to later search for them using the Sheikah Sensor.
