Our last matchup for round one of Zelda Versus puts

The Wind Waker against Oracle of Ages. The Wind Waker has seemingly built up a following over the years in large part due to the unique art style and a recent HD remastering, while Oracle of Ages serves to be one of of the more difficult handheld entries in the series. Who takes the final spot in round 2?

The Wind Waker (Zeruda no Densetsu: Kaze no Takutolit. “The Legend of Zelda: Baton of Wind”)

Released on December 13th 2002 in Japan,

The Wind Waker found its way around the world by May of 2013. The game is fondly remembered for its timeless art style combined with a mostly open world where you can sail anywhere you want. Featuring a countering system fantastical locations, The Wind Waker ranks among the most unique entries in the series.

Oracle of Ages

Released alongside

Oracle of Seasons, Ages is often considered the black sheep of the two, notably due to its increased difficulty. Like Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, the game featured some time manipulation as you try to save the world in both the past, present, and future. Ages often beckons back to older games in the series, primarily due to puzzles and overall difficulty.
