Today, Nintendo announced the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Event Tourney, “Triforce Tryouts,” that will utilize only fighters and stages from the Zelda series. The three-day tournament begins on Friday, May 29. Participants will earn a Zelda-related Spirit, the quality of which improves the further a player advances. Odds are many of us can hold our own as the Zelda characters in Smash Bros., so pop into the game’s Online Tourney menu this weekend to test your skills!

The tournament rules include Smash format battles, a 2 minutes and 30 seconds time limit, Final Smash meters on, and items at medium-frequency. Players can, of course, choose from Zelda, Sheik, Link, Took Link, Young Link, and Ganondorf. And they can play at the Great Bay, Hyrule Castle, Temple, Pirate Ship, Skyloft, Spirit Train, Gerudo Valley, and Great Plateau Tower stages. Event Tourneys typically occur every one to two weeks, so there are more themed tournaments to look forward to if you have to miss Triforce Tryouts.
Are you excited for this event? If you plan to participate, who will you be playing as? Let us know in the comments!
