Zelda Reference in New Castlevania Game

What seems to be a pretty clear Zelda reference can be found in the newest Castlevania game, Lords of Shadow. The screenshot below mentions a Great “Dekuh” which was “the most gorgeous tree in the forest” and its “magical power protected the forest from the attacks of dark creatures”. If you haven’t figured it out yet, it seems like a pretty clear reference to the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time, and later The Wind Waker. Whether this was meant to imply that Lords of Shadow takes place in Hyrule or whether it’s meant to be simple homage is unknown, but I find it to be a pretty cool nod to the Zelda series. What are your thoughts about this?
