Guys. Today is the day. That day. That beautiful day. On this day, twenty years ago, Nintendo released upon its fans something amazing. Something iconic. A game that would very quickly become the pillar of a generation, a base and influence upon which an industry would stand.

November 21, 1998, we, the fans, were gifted with Ocarina of Time. And what an epic gift it was.

Today, twenty years later, Zelda power metal band Master Sword has gifted us with their tribute. Their own story, of thieves and victories, of power and kings. Their own rendition of “Gerudo Valley,” kickstarted months ago by fans of Zelda and metal alike. A new recording of their track “The Forsaken Tribe,” complete with music video, pays homage to the King of Evil and his rise to power deep within the desert sands.

A lot of hard work and love went into this video, and, man, does it show. Powerful vocals, riffs that punch hard, and a melody we all know and love, Master Sword presents to fans the spoils of their efforts, in celebration of one of the most beloved games of a generation. So crank up the volume, grab your scimitar, and start your celebration of Ocarina of Time right.

What do you think of “The Forsaken Tribe?” Let us know in the comments below!
