Today’s Zelda Fanart Spotlight is on Deviantart artist Cojirou’s Wind Waker fanart, ‘The Recording of the History of Hyrule‘. In this fanart it shows the what took place during the painting of the famous portrait of Princess Zelda and her couriers that is shown in the underwater Hyrule Castle. The artist in the picture is trying to situate the subjects of the painting in a pose that he will use to model the painting after. Apparently the possible ancestor of Niko is saying something to the artist and it appears that whatever it is he is saying to him is quite funny as evidenced by the amused look on Princess Zelda’s face. Apparently though, it’s not so funny to the other subjects that are to be showcased in this painting. They look like they’d rather be somewhere else at the moment instead of posing for a painting that will take some time to complete.

Poor couriers…

I like the little details shown in the painting. Little details like the expressions on each of the characters faces as well as the other paintings shown on the wall help bring a picture like this to life and make it interesting.

The artist has other Zelda-related fanart located in their gallery. Please go give it a look and let the artist know what you thought of this piece. Also please let us know in the comments section below.

Stay tuned for the next Zelda Fanart Spotlight! Until then!
