Zelda Fanart Spotlight – Imp Midna
Posted on August 29 2012 by Hachi

Today’s Fanart Spotlight is a sculpture by ArtyAMG called Imp Midna, Front and Back.
One of the most impressive features of this beautifully crafted piece that doesn’t cut any corners when it comes to detail. Every groove in Midna’s official art is accounted for on Midna’s ornate helm, and the tint of turquoise that covers it makes this sculpture come to life. Her hair looks effortlessly depicted, and the gradient from yellow to orange really makes the color pop. The paint on the body, in contrast, is applied in opaque blocks, using the natural light cast onto the sculpture to create varying colors.
The artist was also kind enough to post a picture of his process, it’s quite amazing to see the transformation from the first picture to the final, painted statue.
