Zelda Fanart Spotlight – Enter the Dark World

Today’s Zelda Fanart Spotlight is on deviantART artist Karnella‘s A Link to the Past fanart “Enter the Dark World“. This fanart shows what happens before Link reaches Agahnim to try and stop him from sacrificing Princess Zelda in order to open the seal to the Dark World. He’s forcing her onto the alter using a large knife to threaten her to do so. Once she is on the alter it will allow him perform the spell that will cause her to go to the Dark World and release the seal preventing Ganon from coming to the Light World to destroy it.

Even though Link fails to reach her in time, at least we know that in the end Princess Zelda will be ultimately saved.

I remember the scene that comes after this very well. I remember racing to the castle to try and save Zelda from being sent to the Dark World by Agahnim only to find that I had failed. I also remember it taking me quite a while to save her from her prison there, but in the end I released her from her prison and then stopped Ganon from going through with his plan.
