3D Printing has given creative individuals an amazing tool to bring their favorite stories to life with custom miniatures and dioramas. One such Zelda fan – Mulo Studio – has created eight dioramas from characters in Tears of the Kingdom with breathtaking and hand-painted 3D models.

On their YouTube page, Mulo Studio shows off their work and goes step-by-step through the development process of modeling it in the software ZBrush, 3D printing the components, hand painting the pieces, and assembling them together. Some feature unique enhancements with LED lighting and bases. The eight dioramas from Tears of the Kingdom include Mineru’s Construct, a Seized Construct, a set of three Bokoblins, a Blue Boss Bokoblin, and alternate versions of these four in the cutesy Chibi style with oversized heads.

I found the diorama for Mineru’s Construct the most astonishing as the video walks through the intricate detail that each piece required in modeling and painting to make them look like authentic Zonai technology. The custom green and blue wiring with LED lighting that weaves through various components was a nice touch and makes the art come alive, especially in low light. The diorama also includes a black and red boxing ring base with barbed wire ropes harkening back to the boss battle in the game against a Seized Construct in the Spirit Temple.

Mulo Studio’s work includes other fan-favorite Nintendo series’ like Pokémon and Super Mario along with many other popular anime series’.
