Zelda Dungeon Is Looking For Volunteer Writers – Apply To Join Our Writing Team!

Do you have a passion for writing? How about an obsession with The Legend of Zelda? Are you a creative sort that comes up with crazy ideas? If you answered yes to all three of these questions, we should chat!
Zelda Dungeon is looking to add a couple members to our Writing Team! Your primary responsibilities would be writing News, Fan Content Spotlights, Daily Debates, and Editorials, as well pitching any crazy new features you think would be cool! We’re looking for people who aren’t afraid to think outside the box and will be an active, vocal, and visible member of our community!
If you think you’d be the right fit for this role, you need to do a few things:
- Send a cover letter explaining why you’d be awesome in this role! Include a couple writing samples as well so we can look them over. Your email should have the title “Writing Team Application.”
- Tell us about yourself! We’re looking for personality and creativity! Who are you? What is your history with the Zelda franchise. What does it mean to you? What’s your favorite game in the series?
- If you don’t have Discord and aren’t a member of the Zelda Dungeon chat server, get it and join! That’s how we’ll be conducting interviews!
This is not a paid position, as Zelda Dungeon relies on the content of its amazing volunteers. What you get back though is participation in an awesome staff rewards program, exposure for your writing, a chance to put down on your resume that you wrote for and had content shared by a website with over one million combined social media followers, and, most importantly, the chance to be a part of this awesome community!

Rod Lloyd is the Editor-In-Chief at Zelda Dungeon, overseeing the news and feature content for the site. Rod is considered the veteran of the writing team, having started writing for Zelda Informer in 2014 as a Junior Editor. After ZD and ZI officially merged in 2017, he stepped into the Managing Editor role and has helped steer the ship ever since. He stepped up to lead the writing team as Editor-In-Chief in 2023.
