Ocarina of Time 3D is set to release on June 19th here in the United States and it’s a game you are definitely going to want to pick up on day one. Nintendo Power called it the first must-have game for the Nintendo 3DS and they weren’t kidding. It’s got everything that we loved about it when it released on the N64 back in 1998 plus so much more. If you don’t have a Nintendo 3DS yet, now is the time to start saving up… or begging and pleading, (or trying to improve your school grades), to try and convince mom and dad for that end of the school year gift.

Thanks to a gracious invitation from Nintendo of America, I got a chance to get hands on with Ocarina of Time 3D… and wow, I was impressed. We already knew about the amazing graphical upgrades, the inclusion of the Master Quest, and the vast improvements of the menu, but it’s hard to comprehend some of these features without actually getting a chance to play the game yourself. However, it’s not just these amazing inclusions that make Ocarina of Time 3D the must have game that it will become, but some of the additional content that is included. Unfortunately, I cannot talk about some of the material… yet. While I got my chance to demo the game on Monday, other gaming enthusiasts are still demoing the game through today. So to give those people a chance to demo the game themselves and write about it, Nintendo has asked that we not publish any specifics until tomorrow. Thus, while I seem to say this often, you are definitely going to want to check out the site tomorrow for a bonanza of Ocarina of Time 3D content. In particular, we’ll have new content set for 8PM US Central Time tomorrow, so be sure to check us out then!

That’s not all though. While the demo was directly tied to Ocarina of Time 3D, during and after the demo, I got a chance to speak a bit more casually with many of the Nintendo representatives. We talked about everything from the game translation process, Voice Acting, Link’s Awakening 3D, and even an interesting perspective on the Zelda Timeline from long-time Nintendo of America employee Dan Owsen. I look forward to sharing some of this material sometime in the coming days.

Until then, let’s hear what you have to say? What are your thoughts on what we already know about ocarina of Time 3D? Any comments on the new control scheme, the touch-controls, and updated menus? What do you think some of the new additions will be? Let us know by posting in the comments below.
