Zelda Book Club: We Review Book 1 of the Twilight Princess Manga
Posted on February 13 2020 by David Nystrom
In the world of Zelda media, one of the most enjoyable and deepest catalogs comes in the form of manga adaptations. The most recent ongoing version of this series is the Twilight Princess adaptation, which just had its sixth book release a few weeks ago.
In the latest entry to our Zelda Book Club series, Mases and Gooey took some time to review the first book in the series. They share their thoughts on the overall story, the characters, and how it compares to the Ocarina of Time manga by the same creators, and they draw some comparisons to the original Twilight Princess game from 2006.
I’m a big fan of the manga series by Akira Himekawa, and I have been loving their take on one of the darker stories in the Zelda series. I think one of the most exciting things they’ve done with it is that they’ve made Link a different sort of hero compared to other entries.
Have you had the chance to pick up the first book in the series? Have you read any other Zelda manga? Let us know in the comments below!
