On a recent Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, a guest music artist performed a very special Legend of Zelda remix. After Zedd and Foxes performed “Clarity”, Zedd went to his DJ booth to present a full tribute to the original NES title, with an electronic remix of the main theme and with a spectacular visual show that highlights the original 8 bit sprites.

The Zelda part comes at about the 2:40 mark, but I strongly suggest you listen to the beginning because it builds up to the fantastic house remix of the original overworld theme. Even if it doesn’t seem great to you the first time, I urge you to give it another shot, because it seems to get better with more listens.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Zedd, he’s a Russian born, classically trained electronic, house, and dubstep music producer. He’s created and performed a variety of original music and remixes, and you can see the style of his music in both “Clarity” from his new album and the Zelda remix which I’m sure many of us thoroughly enjoyed.

I would personally love to see Zedd make more Zelda remixes in this style, even of just the older tunes. Zelda is, however, quite widely known and has an enormous fan base, and fortunately for us, many house remixes of Zelda music do exist. Perhaps we’ll even see some appear on Zelda Dungeon in the future.

What did you think of the remix? Let us know in the comments!
