320px-Kakarikowindmill-e13655540003291113A few weeks ago on Windmill Hut I posted a (re)orchestrated version of the Sanctuary Dungeon music from A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds by the Blake Robinson Synthetic Orchestra. Well, this week we have some more of his fantastic orchestrations of Zelda music which span three Zelda games. Even music you didn’t necessarily think about while playing the game now sounds grand.

Can you guess which games? Hit the jump to find out!

First up is “Inside the Deku Tree” from Ocarina of Time.

Then “The Giant’s Theme” from its sequel, Majora’s Mask.

And finally “Outset Island” from The Wind Waker.

They’re all quite short, but in the few minutes the music plays, it feels like a sort of magic is occurring. Outside the boundaries of a video game, where visuals are usually the focus, and in the past where sound quality and instrument capabilities are limited, the orchestration of these themes is simply amazing.

He’s already created the Super Metroid Symphony and is working on a similar project for Banjo-Kazooie, but I really hope he does a Zelda project in the future. Even with the Symphony of the Goddesses and Zelda Reorchestrated, I don’t believe we’ll be over-saturated with this kind of music adaptation anytime soon. And of course, Blake Robinson has a great collection of orchestrated Zelda music which will make an appearance on Windmill Hut in the future!
