Will Zelda 3DS Run at 60 FPS?

By now you’ve all probably heard of the up-coming sequel to A Link to the Past, so I’ll keep this post short and sweet.  A new rumor has sparked from Twitter that apparently the much anticipated 3DS title might be running at a smooth 60 frames per second, whether it’s in 3D mode or not.  If you haven’t already noticed, this would be a major achievement for the high-tech handheld, especially if the frame rate is just as fast while in 3D mode.  But, before we get our hopes up, we must remind ourselves that this is just a rumor, and hasn’t been confirmed by Nintendo yet.  Still, it’s nice to know that there’s still a possibility of a  smooth 60 frames per second for this direct sequel to A Link to the Past.

As you can see, the game runs very smoothy and actually seems to be more fast-paced than some of the previous titles in the franchise. Hopefully we’ll get to see this 3DS title with a smooth, flowing frame rate, but in the end I don’t think it’ll change the game too drastically.  Still, for a more fast and energetic Zelda, it’s nice to have some fast and energetic graphics.

So what do you guys think of this recently posted rumor?  Do you think it’s a possibility, or just a load of garbage?  Tell us in the comments below!
