YipYip is a character in Link's Awakening. She is a Chain Chomp that belongs to Madam MeowMeow. She also plays a role in the Trading Sequence.
Story
YipYip can be found in the right room of Madam MeowMeow's House. Unlike BowWow and the other Small Chain Chomp, she is capable of speech. As she tells Link, she enjoys make-up, jewels, dresses, and would love some new accessories.[1] When Link presents the Ribbon from Papahl's Wife, she says that she needs it and asks to trade it for her Dog Food.[2] If he refuses, she gets upset and calls him "the worst".[3] However, if he accepts, she gives him the promised Dog Food and can be seen wearing the ribbon from then on.

- YipYip's name was not revealed until The Legend of Zelda: Encyclopedia was released.
