The Wooden Sword is the first sword you get in two games of The Legend of Zelda (Series). Because of that, it is the weakest sword. It is normally the first item you get in the game. It has appeared in the The Legend of Zelda (Game), and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Appearances

As stated above, the Wooden Sword has appeared in two different Zelda games.

The Legend of Zelda

The Wooden Sword is the first item available for Link to collect. While it is optional, if you don't pick it up the game becomes considerably more challenging. On the starting screen, there is a small cave. Inside the Old Man will say the legendary line, It is dangerous to go alone. Take this!. He will then give Link the Wooden Sword. Later in the game, it can be upgraded to the White Sword.

Twilight Princess

The Wooden Sword is again the first sword Link receives. Link obtains the wooden sword from Rusl who repaired it and returned it to Link. Using this sword the player can practice all of the basic sword fighting skills on the training dummy just outside Link's house. This sword will remain in Link's inventory until after he rescues Talo who asks to borrow it. After the Twilight has covered Eldin Province, Wolf Link discovers the broken remains of the wooden sword on the ground. It is from these remains which he picks up the Youth's Scent. This scent is used to track down the kidnapped children.
