Winders, commonly known as Moldolas, are recurring enemies in The Legend of Zelda series. They are usually connected by three parts and are electrically charged. They inhabit several Dungeons and typically surround the perimeter of a room. Link will immediately be electrocuted upon contact with a Winder/Moldola. They are usually invincible with the exception of Spirit Tracks.

A Link to the Past

Winder.png

In A Link to the Past, Winders first appear while Link is venturing through the Swamp Palace. They appear very similar to Guruguru Bars, with the primary exception being that Winders will move around the room, as oppose to revolving around a specific block. Winders consist of five fireballs that greatly resemble Sparks from the game.

Winders will move in a straight line in a particular direction until they run into something. As soon as they hit something they'll make a random turn and then head in that particular direction until they run into something else. They will continuously move around the room as nothing can halt their movements and they cannot be defeated. If a Winder comes into contact with Link, one full heart of damage will be done.

Four Swords

This section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

The Minish Cap

Winder's moves a bit more rapidly in The Minish Cap, but share many of the same characteristics as their A Link to the Past counterparts. They first appear in the Temple of Droplets and will deal a half heart of damage if they contact Link.

Phantom Hourglass

In Phantom Hourglass, Winders are electrified enemies that can be seen traveling along the walls of a room. They cannot be defeated and touching them results in Link getting electrocuted. They are found exclusively within the Temple of Courage.

Spirit Tracks

In Spirit Tracks, Winders are called Moldola and act in the same way as the Winders in Phantom Hourglass. However, Moldola can be helpful for battling Heatoises, as they can stun them, allowing Link to attack.
