In Oracle of Seasons, vines only grow in summer, and certain areas, such as Poison Moth's Lair, the third dungeon, are only accessible via climbing the vines.
In Skyward Sword, you can climb vines faster by swinging the Wii Remote to leap upwards on the vine. By performing this action, stamina is used.
