== Contractions ==
While it's not the biggest deal, I've noticed you've removed contractions from the BotW sidequest pages, as well as changed 'questgiver' and 'sidequest' to have spaces. You also changed all instances of pm to p.m. even when they were at the end of a sentence (which they all were) which resulted in p.m..
Why did you do this? It feels like you just ran some kind of script. It also changes the tone of the writing and makes it more formal. These changes aren't exactly 'wrong' so I didn't revert them, except for the pm thing. But it feels like you arbitrarily changed the tone of BotW's entire sidequest section just because you saw a button you could push to run a script and so you ran it. Please tell me I'm wrong, lol. I am sorry... I simply want to make the wiki better. I remove contractions because I think it makes articles look less amateurish and more professional. And the p.m. thing was a mistake. I edit articles fast, so I make mistakes. But I will not make mistakes again. Script? No... I edit like everyone else.
I will not focus on these small edits anymore. They take too much time and they are too tiresome. From here on out, I will focus on big changes. As a patroller and as an editor in general, I should be better, and I will be better. [[User:Satam|Satam]] ([[User talk:Satam|talk]]) 21:14, April 22, 2018 (UTC)
No worries. While contractions have usually been kept out of professional writing in the past, there's a shift happening lately to appeal to the 'millennial' crowd with a slightly more casual delivery. The formal professionalism reads as 'boring and fake' whereas contractions read as 'real.' It's important that the site has a consistent tone one way or the other, though, so before making changes like that it would be good to confirm that's what the site wants instead of it being what you want. (And I may be wrong, it may be what the site wants, that's why I asked.) And if that *is* what the site wants, then you can keep doing it. Although to prevent burnout, it's better to just do it to pages you come across rather than scan every page on the site, lol. Hey! Listen! Welcome to our Wiki, Satam!

We're glad that you signed up so that you can edit, build, and shape the Zelda Dungeon Wiki! Before you start editing, why don't you check out some of these useful links and read these basic rules?

  • Edit your settings. Make sure you have set up your settings to make the wiki work the way you want it. We have a bunch of customizations that we have spent time creating, and we hope that you utilize them to the fullest.
  • Please treat all members with respect. We don't want to have to ban someone because there is an issue between our users.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when making edits to properly format pages. Use templates often to save on coding everything.
  • If you have some questions, instead of sitting around doing nothing, ask our administration team. They won't bite.
  • Head to our help page to find some links to helpful pages that will teach you how to do many things on the wiki.
  • Read the FAQ to find the answers to a few common questions.
  • Please use proper grammar and strive for good edits.
  • Always sign talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically sign the page with your username and date.
  • Use talk pages to talk about edits on pages. Do not participate in editing wars (i.e. editing a page over and over again to make the page what you think it should be rather than what another member thinks) as they are counter productive and will not solve the problem. Use the talk pages like they were meant to be used.

We hope that you enjoy your time here on the Zelda Dungeon Wiki and that you will help us make lots of really good edits. Keep in mind that the administration team will be watching for quality editors to bring them on to our site staff.

Do you have any initial questions? Feel free to ask on one of our staff talk pages.

Thanks again for joining! Can't wait to see you around!
