Hey! Listen! Welcome to our Wiki, AZeldaPlayer24!

We're glad that you signed up so that you can edit, build, and shape the Zelda Dungeon Wiki! Before you start editing, why don't you check out some of these useful links and read these basic rules?

  • Edit your settings. Make sure you have set up your settings to make the wiki work the way you want it. We have a bunch of customizations that we have spent time creating, and we hope that you utilize them to the fullest.
  • Please treat all members with respect. We don't want to have to ban someone because there is an issue between our users.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when making edits to properly format pages. Use templates often to save on coding everything.
  • If you have some questions, instead of sitting around doing nothing, ask our administration team. They won't bite.
  • Head to our help page to find some links to helpful pages that will teach you how to do many things on the wiki.
  • Read the FAQ to find the answers to a few common questions.
  • Please use proper grammar and strive for good edits.
  • Always sign talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically sign the page with your username and date.
  • Use talk pages to talk about edits on pages. Do not participate in editing wars (i.e. editing a page over and over again to make the page what you think it should be rather than what another member thinks) as they are counter productive and will not solve the problem. Use the talk pages like they were meant to be used.

We hope that you enjoy your time here on the Zelda Dungeon Wiki and that you will help us make lots of really good edits. Keep in mind that the administration team will be watching for quality editors to bring them on to our site staff.

Do you have any initial questions? Feel free to ask on one of our staff talk pages.

Thanks again for joining! Can't wait to see you around!

Thanks for the kind words

Thanks for the kind words, although the sheer number of times I hit save and then notice something I missed and have to re-edit should show I'm far from perfect :p . - Sanityormadness (talk) 20:34, July 8, 2020 (UTC)

But you always correct it. (I guess that's the point of being an autopatrol, but still) Be proud of yourself. - AZeldaPlayer24 (talk) 15:11, July 8, 2020 (MST)

I'm not on the discord

sorry, I am not on the discord but I appreciate you asking.

Re: Ancient Tech Lab edit summary

is the sidequest/korok section ok or should i do the actual stuff?

It's fine. A good rule of thumb is that you shouldn't do the same thing in full on two separate pages - there are occasional exceptions, but it mostly means needless duplication. - Sanityormadness (talk) 13:35, July 16, 2020 (UTC)

Bulleted list

FYI, The coding for a bulleted list is:

*Item 1
*Item 2
*etc...

Numbered lists are

#Item 1
#Item 2
#etc...

You can also stack them, so

*Item 1
**Item 1.1
**Item 1.2
*Item 2
*#Item 2.1
*#Item 2.2
*Item 3
*Item 4
*etc...

Gives:

  • Item 1
    • Item 1.1
    • Item 1.2
  • Item 2
    1. Item 2.1
    2. Item 2.2
  • Item 3
  • Item 4
  • etc...

Breath of The Wild

I was rushed cause it was almost time to eat and wanted to get it done. I am sorry and I will try harder next time.

Editing Twilight Princess Articles

I see that you have undone all the edits I recently made to a few articles related to Twilight Princess. Was what I wrote not correct? The articles I edited did have a request to address the East/West disparity between the different versions of Twilight Princess. :/ Komali100 (talk) 06:52, June 10, 2021 (UTC)

Changing the entirety of the two articles is not the solution. There should either be two separate pages made, or an ambox or something that lets you know you're on the page for a specific version. Not a complete page change. - AZeldaPlayer24 (talk) 10:54, June 10, 2021 (UTC)

I'm not well versed in Wiki pages and templates. Do you think you can explain to me why it would be better to have two separate pages for the same location under two different names rather than consolidating location information to one page and explaining how it is different in different versions? I'm not trying to be snarky. I legitimately would like to know. Komali100 (talk) 16:49, June 10, 2021 (UTC)

The problem with making it all one page is that they are two different things. It just doesn't make sense to me to have it all in one page when they have completely different information about different locations. But something like this is what I was talking about. - AZeldaPlayer24 (talk) 18:50, June 12, 2021 (UTC)
This article is about the road from Twilight Princess (GC). For the road in the HD version, see Castle Town West Road.

The problem with that is that GC/HD West Road & Wii/HD Hero East Road *are* the same thing, literally, just the entire map was flipped for Wii (technically, the GCN/HD layout is the canon one, and the one that the game was originally developed as). There's a west road & an east road in both layouts, but orientated oppositely. Whatever the solution is, it is *NOT* to duplicate the pages with west/east and left/right reversed. (Also, your suggested {{specify}} is wrong, because the GC and HD layouts are the same.) - Sanityormadness (talk) 18:21, June 15, 2021 (UTC)
