Hello there! I'm Tippetarius, although you can call me Tip or even Tippi for short, if you'd like. I've been editing and contributing here since 2019, was involved in similar sites for many years prior to that, and have been a big fan of The Legend of Zelda since I was a wee six (or seven) years old.
I was once an admin of the now-defunct Zelda Answers... A position I only really earned because I was the only one of three remaining users willing to adopt it after the last active admins stopped showing up. Nonetheless, after that was taken down, I went on hiatus for some time before migrating here, so to speak.
With the exception of when I was an admin, I didn't usually get involved in the communities of the sites I contributed to. And even though I've technically been here a year or two by now, I'd like to consider this a fresh start and am eager to help out in ways that other users can truly appreciate!
Some things I can share about myself are:
- My username comes from a character in the Land of Oz books, by L. Frank Baum.
- To date, my favorite Zelda game is a toss-up between The Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening, and Oracle of Seasons.
- The Hero of Time is my favorite incarnation of Link; the King of Red Lions, Ezlo, and Fi are my favorite companions he's had; and Twilight Princess features my favorite incarnation of Princess Zelda, with Spirit Tracks in second.
- Four Swords is the only main-series title I haven't played. The first two games and Four Swords Adventures are the only ones I haven't finished.
- I'm well-versed in the timeline outlined in Hyrule Historia; to me, that's the canonical one.
- Outside of gaming, my hobbies include writing stories, walking outside, cooking things only I like, gardening, stargazing, researching my family tree, going to the movies, watching ships go by, playing with my kitty-cat, and learning new languages. I'm currently working on Arabic! ;)
