Allows Link to stab upward when he jumps

The Upward Thrust is one of two additional combat techniques Link can learn in The Adventure of Link. Like the Downward Thrust, it is required to finish the game.

Upward Thrust allows Link to attack enemies above him as he jumps or smash overhead blocks in Palaces. To perform the move, press up after pressing the jump button.

Obtaining the Technique

In Darunia, Link is informed that a powerful knight resides somewhere in the town, but unlike the Downward Thrust, there are no obvious entrances to any of the houses. He must cast the Jump Spell and leap between rooftops in order to use the chimney to access the residence.
