The Twilight Realm is a dimension stuck in suspended Twilight. It is composed of darkness, but does have light. The only appearance in the series is in Twilight Princess, where Zant has taken control of the Twilight Realm and turned its citizens into monsters. Midna is also from the Twilight Realm, and is the realm's rightful leader. The Twili were banished to the Twilight Realm, where they built a society separate from Hyrule. The Twilight Realm was also a place where the worst Hyrulean criminals were banished to. This was accomplished through a portal located within the Arbiter's Grounds.
