The trident is a weapon used by Ganon in Four Swords Adventures. It is his primary and only weapon in the game. He steals it from the Pyramid.

It is possible for the trident in Four Swords Adventures to have links to Demise's Sword in Skyward Sword. Between it's Dark Color and Red Crowning Gem, it is certainly an interesting point.
