Rauru is a town from The Adventure of Link. It is found in Western Hyrule, directly east of the North Palace. Here Link Receives the Shield Spell and important clues regarding Parapa Palace.

Shield Spell

Link can obtain the Shield Spell by speaking to the Wise Man's Daughter. She asks Link to visit her father before leaving the town. When Link enters her house, the Wise Man is waiting for Link at the end of the basement to teach him the Shield Spell.

FIND THE HEART IN SOUTHERN PARAPA.
ONLY THE HAMMER CAN DESTROY A ROADBLOCK.
GET CANDLE IN PARAPA PALACE. GO WEST.
IF ALL ELSE FAILS USE FIRE.
RETURN THE CRYSTAL TO THE PALACE IN PARAPA.
