— In-Game Description[1]

Topaz is a material found in Breath of the Wild. It can be obtained from miscellaneous Chests in the game, from mining Ore Deposits, and it is also an uncommon drop from the Stone Talus. It is required if Link wants to purchase the Topaz Earrings from Fashion Passion in Gerudo Town, since 5 are necessary in the manufacture. Topaz is also necessary to max out the Rubber Helm, Rubber Armor, and Rubber Tights each needing 10. Alternatively, they can be sold to shop-vendors for 180 Rupees each.

Locations

Topaz is not nearly as common as Amber or Opal during the early game, as it does not appear at all on the Great Plateau, and is not common in the surrounding areas. Topaz is most common in the Faron region along the shoreline, south of Lake Floria, and southeast of Lurelin Village. However, there are plenty of monster camps with chests containing Topaz scattered throughout Hyrule, as well as in some buried chests.

  • At the Soka Point, southeast of Lureline Village, there are five treasure chests underwater just to the south and east that contain Topaz.
  • On the east side of the water near the Korne Beach, there is an underwater treasure chest.
  • South of Korne Beach and southwest of Rimba Beach, there is a triangle of large rocks with several chests in the middle of them underwater. Two of them contain Topaz.
  • Underwater just east of Palmorae Beach, there is a treasure chest in the water.
  • In the Necluda Sea, just east of Tenoko Island and the Chaas Qeta Shrine, there are three treasure chests underwater with Topaz.

Topaz is also a common drop from Rare Stone Taluses.
