In late 2011, Nintendo offered three special Zelda-themed Nintendo points cards to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series. These cards could be used to purchase online content from Wii Shop Channel, Nintendo DSi Shop and the Nintendo eShop.

Version

Japanese Version

  • The prepaid cards will work across all Nintendo download services. So, the cards can be used with the Wii Shop Channel, Nintendo DSi Shop and the Nintendo eShop.
  • There will be[outdated] three cards with different Legend of Zelda artwork. The first card was Ocarina of Time 3D themed, the second card was Skyward Sword themed, and the third card featured an official art for every incarnation of Link we've seen throughout the series.
  • The cards will cost 1000 Yen (with tax and will be[outdated] worth 1000 Nintendo Points redeemable for your Wii, DSi, or 3DS purchases.)
  • The prepaid cards for Japanese version were actual plastic cards.

US Version

  • America only getting two of these cards. The first one is Nintendo 3DS Prepaid Card, and the second one is Nintendo Points Card.
  • The Nintendo 3DS Prepaid Card, which is used in the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo 3DS system was Ocarina of Time 3D themed, features an image of Link battling Ganon.
  • The Nintendo Points Card, which can be used in the Wii Shop Channel or Nintendo DSi Shop was Skyward Sword themed, shows Link flying high in a scene from Skyward Sword. This card will be[outdated] worth 2000 Nintendo Points.
  • They will are available at Gamestop, Target, Best Buy, Nintendoworld, and Toys-R-Us from October the 3rd 2011 until February the 20th 2012, when the series' 25th anniversary officially ends.
  • The prepaid cards for US version was printed in cardboard card.

Europe Version

  • The prepaid cards will work across all Nintendo download services. So, the cards can be used with the Wii Shop Channel, Nintendo DSi Shop and the Nintendo eShop.
  • Europe getting all three of these cards, and featured the same artwork from the Japanese version.
  • The cards was available in stores in "late 2011″ and will cost 15 Euros/Pounds.
  • The prepaid cards for Europe version was printed in cardboard card.
