British spelling

Hey, I spelt "colourful" and it was corrected "colorful" by Locke, I think. I don't want to have an "edit war" but can't I spell it the British way?  the preceding unsigned post by Demise (contribs) at 16:23, October 16, 2012 (UTC)

I get where your coming from. I live in Canada, and we also spell "color" "colour". However, this is an American based website, and thus all spelling must be American spelling. I know it is very inconvenient, but it is what it is. Try your best to try and spell stuff the American way, but dont feel bad or angry if you spell it your way by accident. I do it all the time as well. Oh, and please remember to sign ur names with four tildes. They can be found in the toolbox below. Fused shadows 20:58, October 16, 2012 (CDT)
