"The largest breed of deer in Hyrule, this mammal's origin was traced back to the Tabantha region. It's easily distinguished by its immense antlers, which these moose shed and regrow yearly. Their meat is tender and high quality, so it works well in a stew."

— Hyrule Compendium Entry

A Tabantha Moose is an animal found in Breath of the Wild.

Breath of the Wild

One of the largest animals out there, tabantha moose most often flee when confronted by Link, occasionally charging at him, and dealing some damage with their large antlers. They are primarily found in the snowy portions of Hebra. Less commonly, they can be seen in the Gerudo Highlands. If taken down, they may drop some pieces of Raw Prime Meat, and some Raw Gourmet Meat.

The Tabantha Moose is based, of course, on the real-life Moose, but with oversized antlers the size of the extinct Irish Elk's.

Unlike Mountain Bucks and Does, these creatures cannot be ridden. Both the Tabantha Moose and the Great-Horned Rhinoceros are among the biggest animals in the game.
