Walkthrough

The Swamp Palace is a dungeon in A Link Between Worlds.

Entrance

The Swamp Palace is found in southern Hyrule, in the area between Misery Mire and Turtle Rock. The entrance is initially blocked by a giant stone slab, which hinders Link at first. However, with the help of a Bomb Flower, Link is able to gain access.

Theme

The Swamp place is A Link Between Worlds Water Temple equivalent. Water and the use of the Hookshot is emphasized and required to complete this dungeon. Using the Hookshot, Link can raise and lower the water level in certain rooms, allowing him access to previously inaccessible areas. Some enemies will also rrwuire the Hookshot in order to defeat them, including the boss of this dungeon, Arrghus.

Boss

Arrghus is the returning boss of the Swamp Palace. He resembles a giant jellyfish with multiple "eyes" floating around him. Link must use the Hookshot to draw the eyes away from his body and attack them with the Master Sword until none of the surrounding eyes are remaining. Then Link will be able to attack Arrghus's main body, allowing for his eventual defeat.

Rewards

Link can acquire three unique items from the Swamp Palace. For slaying Arrghus, Link earns a Heart Container and saves the sage Oren. Also, hidden withing a big chest in the dungeon Link can get the Blue Mail, which will halve all damage dealt to Link.
